TERRACED COTTAGE ON THE EDGE OF EXMOOR PERFECT FOR COAST AND COUNTRYSIDE This pleasant cottage is situated in a quiet hamlet and is a short drive to the popular West Somerset coastline. There is much to see and do in the area with the cottage being right on the edge of Exmoor which is famous for its rugged scenery and wildlife. There is a range of popular attractions within a short drive which include the spectacular cliffs at Lynmouth with its water powered cliff railway to Lynton bustling market towns such as Minehead peaceful villages such as Dunster Dulverton Porlock and beauty spots including Tarr Steps. For those wishing to explore on foot the Quantocks are within easy reach and offer open moorland and stunning scenery alternatively there are several quiet bays and beaches offering dramatic views over the Bristol Channel. The accommodation which was built in the 1850s offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin. Bathroom: bath with shower over and WC. Lounge/diner: with woodburner TV Freeview and DVD. Kitchen: with cooker fridge/freezer washing machine and microwave. Outside: enclosed garden with seating. Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen electric night storage heating and Wi-Fi included. 2 dogs welcome. Additional info: regret no cot or highchair however guests are welcome to bring their own. Location: beach 3 miles shop 2 miles pub 1 mile.

And the best way to experience the county’s many attractions is from your base in one of our holiday cottages in Somerset. Bath has some of Britain’s most majestic Georgian architecture, as well as the famous Roman Baths (not mention great shopping). Then there’s Wells, England’s smallest city. Wandering around the cathedral close, with its unspoilt medieval lanes is like taking a step back in time. And for a real sense of mystery, there’s Glastonbury (home of the world-famous music festival), supposedly the site of King Arthur’s mythical Avalon. All await you on one of our Somerset cottage holidays. The county has more than its fair share of beach resorts too. The Grand Pier at Weston-Super-Mare is superb, as is the wide beach here, while Minehead and Burnham-on-Sea offer a choice of traditional seaside pleasures. Meanwhile, for nature lovers there’s the wild landscape of Exmoor, and the Mendip and Quantock Hills, both Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Cheddar Gorge is truly stunning. Great for real Cheddar cheese too!
